First residents move into Hamilton Hill

Hamilton Hill, the brand new masterplanned community at Woodforde in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, is celebrating the arrival of its first residents.

Young couple Elyse and Ethan originally bought their three-bedroom townhouse as an investment property but fell in love with it and decided to move in instead. They are now renting out their previous home, which is right next door to the development.

Both were born in Adelaide, with Elyse having always lived in Woodforde. Elyse, a primary school teacher, says she is delighted to have the opportunity to be able to live in the same area.

“I grew up in Woodforde with my family so we were very interested in what would happen to the site,” says Elyse.

“We watched closely as we had also bought our first home in Woodforde the year beforehand. As soon as we saw that it was going to be a development we looked into it for an investment property.

“After a few early inspections we fell in love with the views, future plans and the style of the house that we decided that we would live in it instead.”

Ethan, who works in digital marketing says he was initially attracted to Hamilton Hill when he saw the opportunity to invest in a rare land release in the eastern suburbs that would grow in value in the years to come – an astute move as the properties at Hamilton Hill have already increased in value by 15% in 18 months since the project launched.

“We really like that we are a 10 minute drive to the city or a 10 minute drive to the Adelaide Hills. The townhouses have been designed in a way to maximise space and modern living, the builders have done a really great job in getting it to all come together” says Ethan.

Being the first on site, Elyse and Ethan will see the development grow around them, including the new plantings and landscaping that are gradually taking shape. This adds an extra bonus to their investment as the development will keep increasing in value as further properties are built and the park is delivered.

Their house is so beautifully furnished that visitors sometimes knock on the door and have even wandered through, thinking it’s the show home.

Elyse says, “We wanted to be in the midst of something very exciting, we both had never lived in a brand-new house before. We love our first home but knew this would be great place to raise a small family in the future with everything that has been set in place.”

Having sold out of stage 1 housing, Hamilton Hill is now selling stage 2, which includes two and three bedroom townhouses and Kelso apartments.
